May was..

 May was a good month - my highlights were; I saw a friend I had not seen for 6 months,  I went to the london MCM expo, got some awesome swaps and finished sewing lots of doll clothing to sell :D

Here is the outfit I wore to expo, plus some of my favourite outfits:

I also have a lovely new niece called Isla, I did this drawing of her for my sister and her husband and I also sewed a funny bear :

And finally, I have finished sewing my doll clothing sets, I started at the beginning of the year, they will go on sale via etsy/ebay and private sale next week.

New stock / new clothes

I have recently been in contact with a new supplier in china for doll clothing, so I should have some cute new stock available soon for MSD size BJD girls :D

camping, tattoos, gigs and bargains :D

It has been a busy one, over the last couple of bank holidays...

Last weekend I went camping with some friends to Cromer, right near the beach - it was really nice!

 

We made some lovely masks...hehe

I also got some more tattoos done by a friend, so the new ones are 3 cogs on my arm and a plug socket on the inside of my arm, it's great cause I can just go round his house, or he will come round mine. Plus he is really good - so I have a full upper sleeve planned....But he was tired after tattooing all morning so I just got the 3 for now + the plug socket needs going over one more time.

 

This weekend my boyfriends band (Grimace) had a gig in Lowerstoft, it was great fun and they had an hour set :D

Then on Sunday, I had a stall at a boot fair with some friends and BBQ when we got home.

I managed to find 2x packs of pilot drawing pens for £2, I usually pay about £6 a pack for them :D Love a good bargain!!

  I also found 2 cute necklaces for 50p - woohoo

Update

So since I last posted I have been keeping myself fairly busy, thanks to people for the sweet comments regarding my last post - it means a lot. x

I have a new hair cut my friend did it for me, I know it's not everyones cup of tea, but I like the change, I have re-coloured it since the below pic, it's now a 'poppy red'...

I have also broken my graphics tablet :( so have done a couple of WIWT drawings by hand, I have such a rubbish selection of colours, so they aren't as 'correct' as my digital ones...

A little while ago I was doing some square bears - an I have finished them now and I think they look pretty cute I am not sure what to do with them now though...

I have been doing so many handmade stickers lately, they are a great way to take your mind of anything, I highly recommend making some. 

They are all available for swapping too apart from the 2x doughnuts.

Finally we all went up to Birmingham to see manowar at the weekend, it was so awesome, bit a of blur - but I had a great time..Photo is by my friend tom. (more on my facebook)

goodbye lucy

This isn't the kind of thing I would normally talk about publicly, but I am finding it really hard to cope, so I just need to let it out. Please don't feel like you must reply.

One of my best friends body's was found in a river at the weekend, she was so beautiful and talented. I will miss her so much.

The whole things is very surreal, me and a friend will be going by her flat today to sort through some of her stuff, it will be hard, but I think it will be good healing too.

Half of me wants to stay here and deal with it, but the other half wants to run away. Grief is a very strange emotion, I don't feel myself at the moment, everything is different.

I wanted to share this picture of her, so even people who never met her can see her. She was really special and will be greatly missed.

At least now, she will finally be at peace.

sewing :D

I usually only do machine sewing, but since getting into swapbot I have been really enjoying hand sewing again, particularly with felt, I love not having to hem anything :D

Here are a few of my recently finished or in-the-process-of projects from last week ...

^ I made this  jumper for a friend in a swap, it's based on one I made for my doll, but much smaller scale. She loved the fabric, and was pleased with it when she got it :D

 ^ This is a brooch I made as a little extra for a recent swap, I know she loves Matryoshka Dolls and I have wanted an excuse to make a Matryoshka-something for ages!

^ I am also in the middle of making some 'square-bears' hehe.

I love the little eyes, I have been looking for ages to find some flat professional bear eyes at 3mm - so was really happy to find some I really like AND the right scale.

Other news... I went to my boyfriends gig on Friday but it ended up getting canceled - which was a shame, but it meant we just hung with the band in the pub, which turned out to be pretty hilarious... But hopefully the next one wont get cancelled!

The below pic show a recent puki scale commission I finished, I love making tiny tings :D
It was actually for a tiny brownie doll, but lilith was a perfect model, I included the polka dot bow and teddy bear as free gifts.

 

I'm currently working on the illustration for a children's book with a friend, it is about a jazz cat. It's really early days but great fun drawing in point perspective again, I usually only draw characters - so doing backgrounds and scenes is a fun challenge X3 

I'll prob get some pics up on here soon.

I have also got some great new stock in from mimiwoo, you will be able to find it via my ebay sales soon.
